Why us?

Good question.

One of the things that we really strive for with every shoot is to keep it spontaneous and fun. We believe if we can create a comfortable atmosphere some pretty amazing things start to happen. We have found that when people feel safe and are having a great time...their spirit comes alive. This is where the magic happens...this is that special thing, we feel, everyone is looking for...truly, real people.

What makes us different from the numerous other photographers out there is that we are two people working and creating for you as opposed to just one. That means you are getting two imaginative minds to capture you, two sets of eyes to be both inside and outside of the camera, and two hearts who truly care about getting you the very best of you. Its the simple fact of getting two for one. And who doesn't like a deal?

And lastly, we believe that inside every person, once all those necessary facades come down, lies a truly beautiful human being. And the only way we get to that special place is when people feel safe to be themselves. That is our goal. To stay spontaneous to the needs of each shoot, to have a great time, and to get the absolute best pictures every time we work.

So what a session looks like is:

Initial Meeting

The purpose of the initial meeting is to create a foundation of comfort and a professional, personal relationship between us. We want to understand artistically what you hope to accomplish from our working together.

We will talk about different looks for you that would be best suited for todays market, your past projects and anything that might further our creative efforts. We will also go over any and all questions that you have about the workings of the actual shoot, locations, retouching, printing, etc. Expenses will be dealt with at the end of the first meeting, that way we can focus solely on the shoot and producing something amazing.

The Shoot

Now for the fun part. The shoot will take place at several diverse locations that will give your looks a distinct edge over the many cookie-cutter headshots and photos we have all seen. With each shot we hope to capture a balance of your true self and what you have to offer that is unique and extraordinary.

We know that we have had experiences with photographers in the past where it feels as though we are the last thing on their mind and that somehow we are just a waste of their time, we promise we will never put you in this situation. When we are working together, you are the most prevalent subject in our thoughts. You have an entire morning or afternoon (depending on the session) with us, so there is no rush to get through the shoot. Your comfort and the quality of this experience are the most important things to us.

The Wrap Up

We will meet again after we have had some time to work on the photos and organized the ones that best represent you. We’ll talk about the different possibilities for looks and prints and any alterations or retouching that you might want. All of these additions are included in your package, they are not extra expenses. We will also keep all your images on file, that way if you ever need any future alterations we can easily pull them up. Since your use of these photos will vary depending on the opportunity, we want you to be confident that you have the perfect photo no matter what the situation might be.
